Azin Peyrow joined NATIONAL's Ottawa office in 2023. Recognized as a Top 100 Lobbyist by the Hill Times in 2022 and 2023, Azin has led numerous successful government relations and public affairs strategies over her career including on health policy, taxation, innovation and industrial policy, and environment and climate change.

With over 15 years of public affairs and government relations experience, Azin joins NATIONAL having served as an in-house government relations professional for leading advocacy organizations in Canada’s association sector, representing medical professionals, shipping and manufacturing sectors. Azin’s government relations expertise and experience spans federal, intergovernmental, provincial/territorial and multinational jurisdictions.

Most recently, Azin served as Director, Government Relations and Intergovernmental Affairs with the Canadian Medical Association (CMA). Prior to joining the CMA in 2011, Azin was Director of Environmental Issues for the Canadian Shipowners’ Association and formerly with the Cement Association of Canada. Azin commenced her career as a public relations consultant serving a broad base of clients, including Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House, the Kingston Economic Development Corporation and the Lifesaving Society.

Now Ottawa-based, Azin holds an undergraduate degree in law and economics, a diploma in integrated marketing communications and a Master of Public Policy and Administration.
