Stephen Adler is a senior public affairs strategist with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations navigate government, manage crises, and protect their reputations. As Senior Director at NATIONAL Public Relations, Stephen provides strategic counsel to high-profile clients facing complex regulatory, political and communications challenges. 

Stephen specializes in government relations, issues management and strategic communications. He has led advocacy campaigns that influenced legislation, helped resolve contentious municipal planning and development disputes, and guided organizations through high-stakes reputational challenges. He is a trusted advisor to executives navigating public scrutiny, government decision-making and critical communications issues. 

At NATIONAL, Stephen leads regional and national mandates across financial services, residential and commercial development, health care, post-secondary education, electricity distribution and manufacturing. His work combines political insight, strategic communications and practical solutions to help clients achieve their objectives. 

Previously, Stephen held senior leadership roles at StrategyCorp, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and the Canadian Jewish Congress, where he built coalitions, advanced policy priorities and managed complex public affairs issues. 

Stephen holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from Lehigh University and undergraduate degrees from Carleton and Brock Universities. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and UJA Federation's Shem Tov Award in 2016 for his volunteer leadership. 

Stephen serves on the Board of Directors of Jewish Family and Child, where he chairs the EDI Committee and sits on the Governance and Resource Development Committees. He was also appointed by the City of Toronto to the Arena Management Board of Bill Bolton Arena
