Marc Desmarais
Marc Desmarais has been repeatedly recognized among the 100 most influential lobbyists in Ottawa by The Hill Times and Maclean's. Over the past 30 years, he has developed a deep knowledge of the workings of the government and held senior management positions in the federal government as well as in in the health care, government relations and public policy sectors.
A fluent bilingual, Marc has a wide network of contacts across the country. As a strategist, he is motivated by the successful achievement of client business objectives. Positive, resilient and reliable, he has an outstanding ability to solve complex problems and defuse difficult situations.
Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa, Marc Desmarais is a regular guest speaker at Ottawa and Carleton universities. He is a former teacher of martial arts and is also known for his charitable activities including work for the Kidney Foundation of Canada and Prostate Cancer Canada. In the fall of 2015, he used his vast experience and his desire to help others by running as a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of Richmond-Arthabaska.
