An economist with a Master’s degree in Public Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from Université Laval, Julien Provencher-Proulx has a solid background in everything related to public affairs. Over time, he acquired a fine knowledge of politics, economics, and government sector thanks to his professional and academic background as well as his political involvement at the provincial and federal levels.

Julien’s experience has enabled him to develop a vast network of contacts at all levels of government as well as in the business sector. His years of client service, both in public relations and catering, have given him an in-depth knowledge of customer service with different audiences. Julien has, among other things, been a candidate of one of the main Quebec political parties during the general provincial election of October 1, 2018. He was, previously, political advisor to the Chair of the Treasury Board of the Government of Quebec.

Julien joined NATIONAL’s team in February 2019. Since then, he has worked in various sectors such as public affairs, economic analysis, corporate and financial communications, media relations, event organization, social acceptability, government relations, Indigenous affairs, as well as the healthcare and natural resources sectors.

Today, Julien sits on the board of AMCHAM-Québec and is a member of the board of governors of the Émergence Foundation. He also regularly publishes his economic and political analyses in the media.
