At NATIONAL Public Relations (NATIONAL), we are committed to protecting the privacy of the personal information which we collect from you when you access our website, national.ca, and which we use and communicates in the conduct of its business. We understand “personal information” to mean any information that relates to a natural person and directly or indirectly allows that person to be identified.

Personal information collected by national.ca

You might be required to provide some personal information when navigating and interacting with our website, including when:

  • subscribing to a newsletter
  • completing a contact form
  • submitting a job application

By submitting personal information through these means, you consent to the processing of your personal information by NATIONAL for the purposes for which you communicated it.

The information collected may include: name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, location, reason for visiting the site, resume, and any other information you willfully submit as part of these interactions.

Information you submit through a form will be kept on our servers for a period of 30 days.

Information you submit by applying for a job will be kept for as long as the recruitment process is active, and up to 365 days after the conclusion of consideration of your application. How we use your personal information

NATIONAL uses information collected on the site for a variety of purposes, including, but not limited to, running the site, evaluating business opportunities, contacting users, sending commercial electronic messages, and conducting recruitment processes. We may use your information to respond to you, to update you on products, services and benefits, to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information, newsletters, or other information we think would be of particular interest. We will always give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving such materials.

We may share your personal information with our affiliates and business successors, technical consultants, third party auditors and other third parties who make the site available, enhance its functionality or provide services associated with the website. Please note that we reserve the right to transfer your personal information within the scope of a commercial transaction as this term, or its equivalent, is understood by applicable law.

Some of the people to whom we transfer personal information may be located outside of Quebec and Canada. Any personal information that we have communicated to entities in countries outside of Canada may be subject to the laws of those countries (e.g. where a third party service provider operates internationally). Digital footprint data

In some cases, we may collect information related to your digital footprint. We use such information on an aggregated basis to do such things as operate and enhance the website. We may share digital footprint data with third parties for advertising, promotional and other purposes.

Applicable laws

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. In the event of any dispute or controversy arising from this Web site, you and NATIONAL hereby consent to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of the province of Quebec. In the event of any suit or other proceeding with respect to the subject matter hereof, the prevailing party (which shall be deemed to be the party entitled to recover costs of suit, whether or not the suit proceeds to final judgment) shall be entitled to recover attorney's fees in addition to such other relief as the court may award.
