Fifty years after NATIONAL was founded in Montreal by Luc Beauregard, NATIONAL and AVENIR GLOBAL mark their 50th anniversary today.
Founded in 1976, NATIONAL has grown over the decades to become a firm with a presence across Canada. At the same time, the group brought together under AVENIR GLOBAL has expanded internationally and today comprises nine brands and nearly 1,000 employees in 22 cities across Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
Over the past five decades, NATIONAL’s teams have advised organizations across a wide range of sectors on economic, social and institutional issues that have shaped the evolution of Quebec and Canada.
Since the beginning of 2026, NATIONAL and AVENIR GLOBAL have been marking this anniversary through a variety of initiatives involving their teams, clients and partners. Among the highlights, several hundred clients, partners, employees and friends of the Firm gathered at the Montreal head office on April 29 to celebrate the occasion together.

This anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate how far we have come, but above all, to reaffirm our commitment to helping organizations see clearly and make the right decisions in an ever-changing world. It is with this same ambition that we begin our next 50 years,” said Martin Daraiche, President of NATIONAL and Managing Partner of the Montreal office.
