On Tuesday afternoon, the Premier of British Columbia announced the members of the first NDP cabinet in 16 years. A difficult task for any new government, Premier John Horgan balanced geography, skills and experience to form his team who will lead each ministry in B.C.’s minority parliament.

Yesterday afternoon, Elections BC completed the final count of all ballots cast in the provincial election. The results confirm British Columbia now has its first minority government in 65 years, with the BC Liberals maintaining a 43-41 edge over the NDP, and the BC Greens holding the balance of power. The critical question that remains is: Which party will the Green’s support to form government?
