In the same way consumers are often bombarded with excess advertising for certain products, the opposite also exists. According to Matthew Morgan, Creative Consultant at NATIONAL’s Halifax office, a good example of this low marketing tactic is Warner Bros’ approach to the upcoming Wonder Woman movie. Why? Because if people don’t go see the film, Warner Bros will be able to “prove” to its investors that the public isn’t interested in a female-led superhero movie because there aren’t high grossing ticket sales to justify it.
