Senior Director, Strategy and Insights

We are the builders and protectors of great brands, and we are looking for a Senior Director who shares our vision, to lead our Strategy & Insights team in Toronto.

You are a seasoned strategy and research professional with past staff and client leadership experience. In this role, you will report to the Vice-President of Strategy, Insights and Digital and join a senior team responsible for the oversight of the Strategy, Insights & Digital part of our business. As part of your core accountabilities, you will:

  • Contribute to the growth and development of our office and collaborate with colleagues to support growth across other offices in our network
  • Have an exceptional ability to manage client relationships and demonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding of our client’s business
  • Participate in decision-making related to the internal functioning of the Strategy & Insights practice, while fostering individual, team and organizational goals
  • Make our people a priority
  • Participate in activities which enhance your own personal brand, as well as visibility for our team
  • Assist with the administrative management of the practice
  • Deliver quality strategy services to our clients including: narratives, brand and campaign strategies, competitive brand analysis, whitespace and SWOT analysis
  • Lead client discovery sessions
  • Lead the insights team to use a range of primary, secondary and third-party research to inform consumer, channel and category overviews, uncovering meaningful insights and moments of truth
  • Communicate and articulate meaningful connections derived from discovery to insights in a clear, concise and effective manner either in written or oral form
  • Translate strategic insights and recommendations into creative briefs and technical requests that inspire big thinking
  • Explore a broad range of projects, from insight mining to brand positioning and creative ideation
  • Present results, insights, and outcomes of discovery to internal and external stakeholders and/or clients
  • Lead ideation and brainstorming sessions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to embed strategy in relevant client mandates
  • Contribute to the SI&D culture by engaging with other members of the team personally
  • Work with SI&D and Creative team members to deliver integrated services to clients

  • You demonstrate a collaborative spirit and have exceptional interpersonal skills
