Sarah is a natural disrupter who sees a problem, however challenging, and provides honest, often direct advice on the best path forward for her clients. Prior to joining NATIONAL Atlantic (Halifax) in June 2021 as a Public Affairs Consultant, Sarah spent three years working in the Office of the Leader Nova Scotia’s Official Opposition where she served as a Senior Communications Officer. Working with elected members, Sarah developed strong communications products, provided input on legislation, and advised on media relations strategy to ensure elected members were in the news for the right reasons. Since joining the NATIONAL Public Affairs team, Sarah has been immersed in all things political, supporting clients with government and media relations. The fast-paced world of politics requires a sound understanding of the provincial and federal landscape with one eye cemented on the ever-changing news cycle. Sarah leverages her strong relationships with elected officials, their staff, and journalists to move clients’ objectives forward and brings clarity and calm to clients trying to navigate through government. She holds a professional designation in project management from the Project Management Institute, has a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and has an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from the Nova Scotia Community College.
