Dayna is a seasoned communications practitioner with local, national, and international experience in healthcare, recruitment, and executive training. She is a sought- after project manager who ensures the success of a program from the initial planning stages through to execution.
Dayna specializes in project managing large-scale integrated marketing campaigns for clients across sectors and has built a speciality area in healthcare marketing and recruitment. As a member of the NATIONAL Atlantic Healthcare core team, she has led multi-faceted projects for global brands such as Merck, Roche, and Pfizer, including an award-winning UK-based internal communications campaign for influenza awareness.
Dayna was also a key player on Dalhousie University’s Computer Science recruitment campaign, successfully designed to increase female enrollment. She has also led several successful recruitment campaigns for healthcare professions across the region. In addition, Dayna has helped develop public consultation programs for major utilities, government, and post-secondary institutions and supports clients on media strategy, training and event marketing. Dayna is NATIONAL’s Learning Lead for the Atlantic region, promoting professional opportunities across offices. Whatever the project, Dayna is trusted for her thoughtful and strategic approach.
Dayna obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from Mount Saint Vincent University and an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Nova Scotia Community College. She is currently in her second term as Vice President of Professional Development for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Maritime Chapter and in 2019 was the recipient of the Avenir Global Commitment and Collaboration Achievement Award for the Atlantic Region.
