COVID-19: Bridging the gap between business, healthcare, government and media

In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 pandemic, all levels of government have called on the private sector to innovate in order to address the growing healthcare crisis and alleviate issues already embedded among healthcare systems across the country. To date, the Government of Canada has introduced a myriad of timely initiatives including its commitment to fund and accelerate scientific research to combat the virus, as well as its new Plan to Mobilize Industry to Fight COVID-19, enabling companies manufacturing respirators, masks, rapid testing devices and other related healthcare products and services to scale up production. Concurrently, provincial governments have introduced similar emergency measures, such as the launch of Ontario Together, an online portal calling on businesses and organizations to supply emergency products and innovative solutions to support its response to COVID-19.
