Tanya Kavelaars-DiPenta is a focused leader and natural collaborator, with over 15 years of agency and client-side experience. With expertise in the development and execution of brand and product campaigns, Tanya provides strategic counsel and direction for both clients and internal teams.
Tanya understands the complexity of client-agency relationships and excels at nurturing them. Her extensive agency experience has had her leading accounts such as NSLC, Saint Mary’s University, Events East Group, Halifax Shopping Centre, Develop NS (previously Waterfront Development), Cineplex Cinemas, Discover Saint John, and more. Tanya is a strong relationship-builder, and works closely with her clients and internal team members to ensure the best work is delivered, every time.
Previous to her years of agency experience, Tanya had the opportunity to work on the client side, as well. On the marketing team at Vancity, Canada’s largest credit union, she planned and executed quarterly product campaigns. She also has experience in managing national campaigns and conferences for software companies like Maximizer Software, and at Intrawest ULC, she implemented complex direct marketing programs.
In October 2019, Tanya joined NATIONAL as Director, Integrated Marketing. Here, she’s able to leverage her expertise across owned, earned, and paid channels, from traditional and digital perspectives. But more than anything, Tanya believes in bringing the right people together, and empowering them to deliver outstanding results for her clients. At NATIONAL, Tanya specifically leads the Atlantic Central, Halifax Convention Centre and Ford Canada accounts.
Originally from Vancouver, B.C., she is a graduate of The British Columbia Institute of Technology with honours in Marketing Communications.
