Simon is an experienced and bilingual public affairs professional who most recently served as Director of Policy to the Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion, and International Trade. Simon previously served as Manager, Canada-U.S. Relations in the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO) and as Legislative Assistant to the former Minister of International Trade.
Simon brings significant economic, trade, and investment experience to NATIONAL, acquired through his various senior political positions. He played a key role in managing major Canadian trade files, including the renegotiation of NAFTA, Canada’s retaliation against U.S. steel and aluminum tariffs, and the recent Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Université de Montréal and a master’s degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Cambridge.
Simon’s work involves public policy, issues management, and strategic communications. He supports clients operating in the fields of investment, infrastructure, capital markets, agriculture, natural resources, and economic development.
