Melissa is Vice President of Corporate Communications at NATIONAL. She brings with her more than 15 years of experience counseling Canadian politicians and business leaders, and works closely with CEOs and other executive team members on advancing business strategy through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
Melissa’s background spans both the public sector and private sector, including work across corporate communications and public affairs, and working with a diverse set of clients on strategic planning, narrative development, thought leadership, stakeholder relations, corporate reputation, and issues and crisis management.
Melissa’s political experience has included serving as a legislative assistant to a federal Member of Parliament, working in the communication arm of the Conservative Party war room, and working as a Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Industry, where she was responsible for legislative affairs, stakeholder management and communications.
Melissa holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
