Marie-Christine Garon is a Director, Corporate Communication, and Sector Lead, Sports and Leisure. She has more than 15 years as a communicator in sport, healthcare and corporate industries. Over the years, she has worked on numerous communication and public relations campaigns with a range of clients such as Bombardier, Montreal Canadiens, the Canadian Olympic Committee, CCM Hockey, Lowe's Canada, Merck, Astra Zeneca, the Montreal Heart Institute, DANONE, Unilever and Shell.
Having considerable experience in public relations agencies, Marie-Christine has a reputation for innovation, strategic thinking and problem solving. She also has experience in spokesperson training, media relations and visibility planning, CSR activities, branding and integrated digital communications, internal and external positioning plan, and crisis communication planning.
Marie-Christine is an administrator on the Board of Directors of Club de la Médaille d’Or. She is also a lecturer at the Université de Montreal. She has a Master’s degree in Social Marketing from Laval University (Québec) and Paris 2 University (France) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Laval University (Québec) and York University (Toronto). She was also a volunteer with Médecins du Monde and participated in three different missions in Mali, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
