A member of the Ordre professionnel des nutritionnistes du Québec, Jacinthe Côté is well known to Quebec readers interested in nutrition and food. While completing her Master's degree in agri-food sciences at McGill University's Faculty of Agriculture and Environment, the nutritionist began a series of weekly columns published in several Quebec newspapers (notably La Presse, Le Soleil and La Tribune) as well as on Cyberpresse. Her experience as a columnist finally lasted thirteen years. In 2004, she published a guide on obesity entitled Désobésité.
With a doctorate in biology and more than 25 years of professional experience in the agri-food industry, Jacinthe is now Senior Director and Leader, Food Sector at NATIONAL. Her mandate is to increase the visibility, reach and scope of communications initiatives for manufacturers, associations and organizations working in the agri-food industry.
An agent of change with a strong capacity for analysis and synthesis, Jacinthe specializes in strategic planning and the implementation of 360-degree communications programs. She has led numerous brand positioning projects, including the development and launch of an international product brand and the development and deployment of marketing and innovation strategies. As a compelling spokesperson, her facilitation and speaking skills have been demonstrated in webinars, trade shows, scientific conferences, as well as with governments, clients, and the media.
