Allison has both a professional and academic background in energy, the public sector, and project management that she uses to help her clients navigate complex problems and arrive at shared solutions. With a B.A. in International Relations and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Calgary, in addition to a project management designation, she can approach a broad variety of issues from a micro-to-macro scale.
Before coming to NATIONAL, Allison worked at Canada’s largest, non-partisan think tank, which gave her the ability to quickly develop an understanding of new concepts and an appreciation for evidence-based and data-driven decisions. During the course of her professional career, Allison has published work that ranges in scope from how Canada could reduce its transportation emissions, to the potential economic impact of an LNG industry in BC. In addition to her strong analytical abilities, Allison can go beyond numbers and use facts and figures to support a story that is accessible and resonates with a wide variety of audiences. This approach has won Allison a national award for her research.
When she isn’t in the office, Allison can usually be found catching up on current events, trying to beat her 5k time, or watching a movie.
