THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in Ottawa, we are on the lookout for talented and hard-working individuals who want to be part of an energetic and growing team.

The successful candidate(s) will have expertise in public affairs and government relations stemming from a career on Parliament Hill or in a consulting environment.  He/She will focus on providing support to our growing roster of clients, and to our senior team in Ottawa.  Our perfect match will be a true team player with the ability to work on projects effectively, on time, and with excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide services to clients in areas including government relations, strategic communications, media relations, and reputation management;
  • Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and government decision-makers;
  • Provide leadership, as well as play a supportive role, on high-profile, large, integrated client mandates;
  • Build rapport and credibility with clients and other consultants, based on trust, hard work and attention to detail;
  • Leverage traditional, digital and social media platforms, as well as emerging technologies to help execute strategic solutions for clients;
  • Ensure client satisfaction;
  • Actively foster and support an environment of teamwork and cooperation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience on Parliament Hill, or in public affairs at an agency, or within a corporate environment;
  • Strong knowledge of government and public policy process and an ability to lobby the federal government;
  • Track record in relationship building and/or deep sectoral knowledge and specialized expertise;
  • Strong understanding of and experience with integrating traditional media, digital technology and social media to support the delivery of integrated solutions to clients;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) would be an asset.
