Michelle Coates Mather
Michelle Coates Mather is a Senior Consultant with the Ottawa office of NATIONAL Public Relations. She is an experienced strategic communications and government relations professional, with over 10 years of federal government experience providing strategic advice to federal cabinet ministers and executive management teams. In her early career she served as Press Secretary to the Minister of International Cooperation and as a Communications Advisor to the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities.
Prior to joining NATIONAL, Michelle was the Public Relations Advisor at the federal Crown Corporation, PPP Canada where she led the coordination of Government of Canada announcements; created and implemented communications strategies; and cultivated meaningful stakeholder relationships with a diverse group of public and private sector stakeholder groups within the P3 infrastructure market space.
Michelle is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she earned a degree in Political Science. She also holds recent certifications in Digital and Social Media Strategy and in Presentations and Interpersonal Communications through Sprott School of Business.
