Fernando is an Associate with NATIONAL who has years of experience navigating the worlds of electoral politics and grassroots community organizing. He has a distinct passion for building bridges between community members, stakeholders and decision makers, bringing together all parties to facilitate discussion for better decision making.
He studied Politics and Political Economy at Trent University. While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree, Fernando was actively involved with a variety of student organizations, local politics and the community at large, including working with organizations such as the United Way of Peterborough and Area, the Trent Annual Corporation and the Trent University Politics Society.
Prior to joining NATIONAL Fernando has been highly active as a community organizer in the Niagara Region, developing policy alternatives and managing various campaigns and working with an Ottawa Creative start-up in organizational and financial management.
