Melissa is a Director in NATIONAL’s Corporate Communications practice, bringing with her more than 10 years of experience counseling Canada’s leading politicians and business leaders. Alongside NATIONAL’s team of corporate and public affairs practitioners, she draws on her extensive private and public sector experience to help her clients achieve their business objectives.
Melissa’s background includes working at both an international public relations firm as well as a mid-sized Toronto-based firm where she worked with corporate, public affairs and provincial government clients on strategic planning, narrative development, stakeholder relations, corporate reputation, and issues and crisis management.
Melissa’s political experience has included serving as a legislative assistant to a federal Member of Parliament, working in the communication arm of the Conservative Party war room in the 2006 federal election, and working as a Senior Special Assistant to the Minister of Industry, where she was responsible for legislative affairs, stakeholder management and communications. Melissa holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Toronto.
