Dan Mader is Senior Vice-President of the Ottawa office for NATIONAL Public Relations. He draws on his knowledge of policy, communications, and strategy to help NATIONAL’s clients succeed in an increasingly regulated world where public opinion and the political process are critical.
Dan has a deep background in consulting and public affairs, including nearly six years working as a senior advisor to federal cabinet ministers at departments including Defence, Transport, Infrastructure, and Environment. Dan later served as Deputy Director of Communications for a provincial election campaign, writing speeches and television ads and overseeing video production.
Dan is an active volunteer with the Writer’s Trust of Canada and the Jewish National Fund of Canada. He appears regularly on television, commenting on political strategy.
Dan has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and a Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo.
