Serge Paquette, Managing Partner of NATIONAL’s Montreal office, recently announced the return of former colleague Mark Boutet as Vice-President, Financial Communications and Investor Relations. As a seasoned advisor, his expertise will not only benefit his colleagues but also NATIONAL's clients.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in financial and corporate communications with a track record of effective strategic counsel to CEOs, senior executive teams and Boards of Directors.
He previously served in senior communications roles with two of Canada largest pension investment managers: PSP Investments and La Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec. During his first term at NATIONAL from 2005 to 2008, he led all communications activities for the Crawford Committee and the ABCP restructuring, the largest financial restructuring in Canada. During his career, he has been involved in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, IPOs and has helped raise capital for both public and private companies.
“When I decided to come back to consultation, I never even considered an organization other than NATIONAL,” said Mark. “Working at NATIONAL means being at the center of the news and business every day, which is very interesting and stimulating. I've seen the Firm evolve quite a bit since I left in 2008, as I was a client of NATIONAL during those years. It’s impressive to see how its digital communications practice is much more sophisticated than it was before!”
We wish him a warm welcome “home”!
