Last year’s proposal by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) on sharing of individual patient data for clinical trials generated much debate and controversy. Now, the ICMJE has released their initial minimum data sharing requirements for future trial publications… But what do they mean for the research community, communications agencies, and, ultimately, for patients?
