Shortly after opening a first office outside Montreal in Toronto, it was on October 23, 1987 that NATIONAL opened an office in Quebec City. For the Firm, the handling of important files required a presence with representatives of the Quebec Government’s various ministries. It was therefore with the main objective of developing the public affairs and government relations sectors in the province’s capital that the office was established.

After modest beginnings, the office took off under the direction of the duo formed by François Houle and Marie-Claire Ouellet. But it is with the arrival of Luc Ouellet as its Managing Partner in 2005 that the office truly gained its full momentum.

Supported by Martin Daraiche and Julie-AnneVien, named partners of the Firm in 2012 and 2013 respectively, Luc and his troops are now enjoying what can only be described as a spectacular success. Thirty years after its inception, the Quebec City office is thriving not only thanks to the expertise and experience of its leadership team, but also thanks to its dedicated consultants who share their talent and creativity with clients and the Firm on a daily basis.

To thank everyone for their continued contribution to the Firm’s success, Jean-Pierre Vasseur, President and CEO, Royal Poulin, Executive Vice-President and CFO, and Valérie Beauregard, Executive Vice-President, surprised them at the staff’s annual summer party last week by offering every single employee a celebratory bottle of champagne.

Cheers to many more years of success in Quebec City, and across the network!
