The entire NATIONAL family wishes to congratulate Tara Wickwire, Director at NATIONAL’s Halifax office, on being recognized with a Progress Women of Excellence in Communications & Public Affairs award by the Canadian Progress Club Halifax Cornwallis.

With more than 17 years of global branding experience, Tara has led PR strategy for some of the world’s most recognized brands including Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy. After overseeing PR for Gap Inc. in Toronto, creating national marketing communications programs, Tara moved back home to Nova Scotia.

Since 2012, she has been a key member of the marketing and communications team at NATIONAL’s Halifax office. A natural leader and mentor, she has applied her knowledge of integrated media to create programs that have helped regional and national organizations share their stories with the audiences that matter most.

“Tara is a dynamic, generous, trendsetting and tireless communications professional,” says Sarah Young, NATIONAL Managing Partner in Atlantic Canada. “Every day she works hard to build the reputation, confidence and support of people and organizations across the region. Her skill at helping people be their best selves and present their visions and values with confidence is remarkable and has resulted in national media profiles and attention. When I think of someone who exemplifies the attributes of professionalism, achievement, integrity and passion that Progress Women in Excellence Awards recognizes, Tara is at the top of the list.”

Congratulations Tara!
