NATIONAL will always have a special connection to Montreal, and is proud to be the public relations firm responsible for supporting the Society for the Celebrations of Montréal’s 375th Anniversary.

Not only is Montreal our Firm’s birth place, it’s also where the world’s best bagels are made (according to none other than The New York Times)! As the city turned 375 years old on May 17, 2017, the Montreal team challenged every office across the network to take part in the very first Bagel Challenge, shipping he city’s emblematic food – bagels from Fairmount Bagel – to every NATIONAL, AXON, Madano and SHIFT offices.

The challenge? To give a local flavour to these famous Montreal bagels by adapting them according to the culinary habits of each city, or going all-in by recreating a local landmark using only edible element.

Not only did team across Canada, the U.S. and Europe embrace the challenge, but their creations truly impressed the team behind this project in Montreal, including Julien Beaudry, Stéphanie Auclair and Genève Boulianne-Grenier.

Check out the photo album on NATIONAL’s Facebook page to see how each office interpreted the Bagel Challenge. Other photos have also been posted on Instagram with the hashtags #375MTL and #NATIONAL375.

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated so enthusiastically to this challenge honoring Montreal’s 375th anniversary. It’s another great example of the Firm’s collective leadership in engagement and social initiative, which shows our client how dedicated we are across the network.
