Andrew Molson, Mentor to the First Cohort of Concordia University’s New EMBA Program, on Fostering the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs

Andrew Molson, Chairman of RES PUBLICA Consulting Group, recently sat down with journalist Nathalie Vallerand from the French-language business and financial news weekly Les Affaires in an interview on succession planning.

In the article published on April 3, Andrew shares that his family has found in particular that a healthy transition between generations is accomplished through adequate governance in the best interests of the company.

His family, now at its seventh generation of entrepreneurs, is still involved in the brewery John Molson founded in 1786, in addition to owning the CH group (Bell Centre, Montreal Canadiens, Evenko, Équipe Spectra) and RES PUBLICA Consulting Group.

Succession planning is moreover of particular interest to Andrew, who is currently serving both as Honorary President of the 8th edition of the Médaillés de la relève competition celebrating successful business transfers and as mentor to the first cohort of the new Executive MBA program at Concordia University's John Molson School of Business .
